Laboratory Quality Management

The concepts behind laboratory quality management have been fully recognised during the development of iPassport QMS, with each aspect of the laboratory quality management system being carefully considered an implemented within iPassport QMS.

Within laboratory quality management it is important that each stage is taken into consideration, and indeed how each stage interacts with each subsequent stage, iPassport QMS facilitates this interaction though its enhanced linking engine, making it possible to cross reference any records on the system.

The ability to link, and thus cross reference records makes it simple to demonstrate that you are aware of the close interactions involved within laboratory quality management.

Auditing and non-compliances are recorded as part of laboratory quality management, with these being actioned upon to ensure that all corrective / preventative actions are met. This is coupled with imbedded standards, making it possible to generate internal audits against particular standard sets quickly and easily.

With iPassport QMS managing all policy and procedure documentation for the laboratory quality management system, all of the important, but mundane aspects of laboratory quality management are managed. For example, iPassport QMS automatically contacts staff members upon the release of a new version of a policy or procedure and records electronically when the staff member has entered the system and read the latest changes, thus, removing the requirement to obtain a signature form each staff member on a hard copy form.

These can all be linked to meetings which are distributed electronically, and automatically, therefore if a problem arises within any of the procedures this can be discussed and recorded at the meeting.

The meetings module also makes it possible to include management review meetings on the system, thus fulfilling an important, and sometimes overlooked aspect of laboratory quality management. All mangers then have access to the records being discussed directly from iPassport QMS.
