Our North American customer base continues to benefit from iPassport's unique laboratory document control and compliance management features

Commenting on how iPassport has helped her laboratory's quality processes, Michelle O'Connor, Laboratory Quality Improvement coordinator at Ministry Saint Michael's in Wisconsin says:

"The addition of iPassport’s electronic document control system has helped bring us to the next level of managing all of our laboratory quality requirements. This system eliminated many manual tracking steps, thus removing time and wasteful steps from our process. We absolutely love the linking feature because it allows us to link our job aids, charts, and regulations right to their procedures. We can easily track training records throughout our facility and our many off-site locations and we are one step closer to a greener, paperless system!  I would recommend this system to any laboratory looking to “lean” their processes with electronic document control."

National Centre for Medical Genetics, Dublin upgrades to iGene from Shire

Genial Genetics are pleased to announce their latest customer to Go Live with the iGene Genetic Data Management System. The National Centre for Medical Genetics (NCMG) in Ireland went live with iGene on 17th November for their Clinical Genetics and Cytogenetics divisions, upgrading these areas from their previous Shire system.

Commenting on the implementation, Damien Moyles, General Manager of the NCMG said:

"We were very happy with this upgrade and the enhanced functionality that iGene now provides us with over our previous SHIRE system. We found Genial Genetics very flexible and reasonable with our system modification requests, and the individual single contact developer we were provided with made a huge positive difference to the successful implementation of this project. We also found the go live support and post go live support was second to none and extremely fast and efficient. I would highly recommend both the iGene system and Genial Genetics.”

New View-only access license for our iPassport Document Control and Compliance Management System!

By popular request, we now have view-only user access licensing available for iPassport. A view-only license allows organizations to give more staff access to view regulatory standards, documents and policies within iPassport at very affordable prices.

In most organizations, a limited number of users need to edit or change the content of iPassport. All other users only need to view information. An organization can therefore purchase a full-access iPassport license with editing rights for a desired number of concurrent users, and a view-only access iPassport license for users who only need to locate and view information. A view-only access license can be purchased for any number of users, typically ranging from 5 to 100 or more users.

Users logged into iPassport via a view-only access license cannot perform any actions that will change the content of iPassport and it is therefore a safe environment for staff to access important information and to keep up-to-date with compliance management objectives.

For more information about the view-only license, please click here and here for a graphical example setup.

King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre in Riyadh implements CellSprint cytogenetic robotic harvester.

We are proud to welcome KFSH & RC, one of the leading healthcare institutions in the Middle East, to our growing list of CellSprint customers.

CellSprint is already in routine operation and providing excellent benefits to the lab. Commenting on her experience, Dr Claudia Walter, section head of cytogenetics said,

"The CellSprint cell suspension harvester has provided our lab with vast improvements in both productivity and quality of chromosome spreads on both routine bloods and bone marrows. The harvester helps us on a daily basis to free valuable time for the technicians. This is a significant achievement in light of the shortage of cytogenetic technologists in our lab. However, the best feature is allowing us to walk away from harvesting and return with confidence.”
